A couple of specific things that have impressed me about Mr. Chancey are his loyalty and courage. As some dear friends of the Chanceys were viciously and unjustly maligned, I witnessed (from a distance) Mr. Chancey put forth much time and effort to defend the honor of those godly friends. He himself was belittled and attacked but his faithfulness did not waver even when he appeared to be alone in his efforts. He gave no thought to what his loyalty might cost his own reputation.

About a year ago in Jamestown, Virginia, when my husband and I briefly chatted with the Chanceys under the shade of a tree, I thanked Mr. Chancey for standing alongside those friends, defending truth and doing so with courage and steadfastness. His response was essentially a humble, "Ma'am, that's just what friends do." Indeed.

Mr. Chancey is a man of great character and his dear wife, Jennie, is a fine example of godly, wise and biblical womanhood to many of us ladies tending the home fires.

We are excited to vote for Mr. Matt Chancey!

I've known Matt for over a decade. He has had a rock solid framework for determining right and wrong since long before I met him. This gives him dependable discernment on even the most complex public policy issues. He not only knows the right position, he knows why it is right, and he can explain why it is right. And he knows a vast amount of American history to know where our politicians deviated from principle and got us into so much trouble. Matt knows how to fix the mistakes. America needs men like Matt at every level of public service. Matt's example in office will help America get back on firm footing for the 21st century.

I have known Matt Chancey for about nine years, now. Matt is a rarity in our day…a true American statesman who isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right, regardless of the opposition. He is a wise man who knows the issues involved in this race and knows what is needed for Alabama. I have observed Matt to be a kind and principled family man who walks in his integrity before the Lord. Matt Chancey is passionate about Alabama. He loves her people and takes a special interest in their needs. He has a true servant’s heart, and will serve the people of Alabama well as the next President of the Public Service Commission.

I would like to encourage every Alabama rate payer to vote for Matt Chancey for President of the Public Service Commission.  Matt and his family are a integral part of our church, Reformed Family Fellowship.  I feel blessed to call him friend and brother in Christ.  He is a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus, lovingly leads his family and is a brilliant business leader and statesmen.  As we look at the place we are in history let us not let this opportunity pass us by to make a difference in our state and country. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with him and his platform.  I can personally say that voting for Matt Chancey will be a investment of confidence that will not let me down!

I met Matt Chancey at a political event last year and was immediately struck by his understanding of the issues facing Alabamians. Since then I've had the opportunity to work closely with him on various projects and to see his work ethic, as well as his creativity up close. He has shown himself to be a man of consistent character, keen insight, and unwavering professionalism. The people of Alabama are lucky to have a Public Service Commission candidate of his calibur to support.

When Matt Chancey was about 8 years old, Smokey, our small cat, took her two, day-old kittens into the nearby woods and killed them. Just the day before, a local Veterinarian and I did a C-section to deliver the kittens.
When I arrived home from work and discovered Smokey’s crime, I was very upset and told Matt that I was going to make Smokey pay with her life. Matt said, “Daddy, please don’t kill Smokey”. My response was, “Matt, if Smokey was a human being the State would call for her to be executed for killing her two children. Matt, give me one good reason why I should not execute Smokey."
Without hesitation Matt said, “Dad, don’t you remember the day when Smokey wondered into our yard and we started taking care of her? Don’t you remember that Smokey was just a kitten herself and she did not have a mama to show her how to be a good mama? Also, Smokey was just a big kitten herself when she had the 2 kittens; she wasn’t even a full grown cat. And also, Dad, Smokey is just a cat and God put more into a human than he put into a cat; so we should not expect a cat to be like humans when dealing with their kittens." I looked at Matt and said, “Son. I asked for one good reason why I should not kill the cat, not three .” Needless to say, Matt saved Smokey’s life that day and that cat continued for years to be a valuable pet, keeping the home place and outbuildings free from rodents.
Extraordinary wisdom and maturity have always been central to Matt’s character. My beloved son will serve the citizens of Alabama well and honorably in any aspect of public service. Matt fears no man, yet is wise enough to fear the Lord God. Matt will serve the people of Alabama well as President of the Public Service Commission.

Dad, Dr. Ken Chancey, Enterprise, Alabama

I first met Matt when he was working on the Tom Parker campaign. I was impressed with his knowledge and understanding of conservative principles of governance and his dedication to upholding those principles. He will make an excellent public servant because he has a heart for service to his family, his God and to his community.

Matt Chancey is a rock-solid defender of truth, justice, and the American Way. (Let him near a phone booth and you may see the big "S" on his chest!) I have spoken and enjoyed fellowship with Matt and his wife many times over the last several years and know him to be a man of impeccable integrity, courage, determination, and boundless energy. His family is a testimony to his faithfulness within his God-ordained circles of responsibility. Having governed his own family well, while striving to secure and defend the liberty of all of his fellow Alabamians and Americans, Matt must be considered one of the most qualified and exceptional candidates for public service anywhere. I endorse him as a man, as a husband and father, and as the next President of Alabama's Public Service Commission.

I've known Matt for about six years and believe he is a very knowledgeable, hardworking and kind young man. He has been very helpful to me and many other conservative candidates. He's a "quick study" and will do well in this position. Matt Chancey will provide SERVICE to the PUBLIC on the Public Service Commissiion.

I was recently in Alabama speaking at a home school conference and I spent an evening with Matt and his wife, Jennie, at their home near Birmingham. Matt told me about his vision for public service and his desire to serve the people of Alabama.

Matt has my whole-hearted endorsement, and I know he will do a super job as the next President of the Alabama Public Service Commission.

Matt, Jennie, and his children were valued members of our congregation while they lived and worked in Virginia. We were sad to lose them when Matt moved back to his native state. We still count them as very good friends. TO ALL YOU GOOD PEOPLE OF ALABAMA: Take advantage of the knowledge, the energy that this man has, and his determination to serve Christ by serving his neighbors. Put him to work as President of your PSC. He will do you good.

The president of the Public Service Commission has a very important role to play and one that requires a person of high integrity and a servant’s heart—a person like my friend Matt Chancey.

I don't know Matt personally, but I've read articles about his stance against liberal insanity and totally agree with his position. It's about time the Republicans stopped worrying about what the democrats think, and worry about representing the needs of the people that put them in office. The scare tatics of liberals have put this country in a stalemate. We need more people like Matt that aren't afraid to speak their minds and stand up for thier supporters. You've got my vote Matt and I'll spread your message to all my friends and acquaintances .

Matt Chancey is a rare find in the world of politics. He’s a man who understands the big picture in government and public service. He’s a true believer in the principles that built our nation. He really believes what our Founding Fathers wrote. And he knows what they wrote.

I have known Matt for over ten years. If how a man serves his family, church, and community is any indicator of how he will serve in public office, then you can be guaranteed Matt will be a true and honorable servant, putting others first. There is no doubt he will put the 'public' back into the PSC. He has a vision of affordable and efficient utility service that is responsive to the needs and desires of those who use it, and will apply tons of good old-fashioned Alabama common sense.

As a conservative Christian, I know Matt to be an honest, dedicated, and loyal American who will serve the public with the greatest of integrity and honor. I believe Matt will fully represent the "public" in the Public Service Commission and will not bend to special interests who have in the past controlled their agenda.

I've worked closely with Matt Chancey for the past two years. He's a compassionate conservative who is not afraid to stand up against the liberal forces that are intent on undermining our Constitutional rights and liberties. Intelligent and highly motivated, he has set his sights on working as a public servant for the better welfare of Alabamians. Knowing his character and work ethic, I highly recommend him as Alabama's next President of the Public Service Commission.
